WAYNE 'GARRETT' BAKER
Wayne 'Garrett' Baker was born over 6 weeks prematurely on 9/30/08 weighing 4 lbs 2.3 oz and was 17 inches long. The proud parents are Wayne and Megan Baker and proud grandparents are Johnny & Bet NeCaise.... Megan is Chad's cousin! Her original due date was 11/17/08, but due to high blood pressure, the doctors decided to deliver Garrett early. Megan said this morning that Garrett is doing great, still trying to learn the bottle and breastfeed, and is trying to regulate his body temperature. He is currently still in the hospital and will remain there for several more days. Megan is doing well and her and Wayne are also proud new homeowners and trying to get settled into their new home before the doctors release Garrett to come home! Please continue to pray for him as he took a few steps back on 10/3/08 but has since leaped forward and continues to improve. I know the new Mom & Dad are ready to take this child home! And I'm ready to start loving on him!!!! Only 3 more months before Kacey is expected to make her debut! Helena NeCaise
UNBORN CHILD WITH HEART ISSUES
Hello! I hope everyone is doing good. I'm asking for you to please pray for a friend of mine at work. She is 19 weeks pregnant and just found out that the baby has a very, very bad heart condition. They're not sure, at this point, what is going to happen next. Please pray for her, her husband and their 2 year old son. Thank you! Alyson
DOROTHY "DOT" BATES
Please remember my grandma (Dorothy “Dot” Bates) in your prayers. She had a pretty severe stroke last night and things don’t look very good for her right now. She can’t swallow or speak and she can’t feel her right side. She is aware of what’s going on around her and can hear people talking to her. The doctors are watching the bleeding in her brain to make sure it’s not getting worse, but they say they can’t do anything for it if it does get worse because she wouldn’t be able to survive the operation. Mawmaw does not know the Lord, so please pray that He won’t let her go until she does. Thank you for your prayers (always), Traci
BOBBIE NECAISE
Bobbie had her surgery on October 2nd and is still recovering at home. She returns to the doctor on 10/17/08 for another post-op visit. Please continue to pray for her that she will have a complete recovery and no issues arising during her recovery time. She is hoping to go back to work on Monday.
9/9/2008
Chad's mom is having a 2nd EYE surgery – right now it’s scheduled for Friday Oct 3rd – but may be moved up! It is a really SERIOUS and dangerous surgery. We will find out more details in the next 2 weeks. It will be outpatient here at NEMC. She has a chance of losing her vision in this eye because of the complexity of the surgery, and even having a stroke or heart attack due to a special injection she needs to help with the surgery…. So she’s really down and not up to doing this, but has to do it to have any chance of keeping what eyesight she has left in this eye. The doctor told her yesterday that the other eye is stable, so at least that’s good for now. She is supposed to be out of work for a week (minimum) but the recovery time is at least 3 months and she’ll be restricted to certain things during the recovery.
About 2 yrs ago, she had the first surgery that was laser but they had to put a gas bubble in her eye that took MONTHS to dissolve where she could see again and it was really painful - both surgery and recovery. This 2nd surgery will be more invasive and detailed as they’ll have to go in and scrap the entire back of her eye and she’s not sure if they’ll be doing the laser this time again or using another method. Her blood vessels have already started growing where they shouldn’t be and they can’t reverse that part. This is all from her Diabetes and won’t ever get any better!
Please lift her in constant prayers in the coming weeks and during her surgery/recovery and that God will heal her completely and keep her spirits lifted during this time as well. She is so looking forward to my baby shower and her new granddaughter that maybe she can stay occupied and focus on her future!!!
Love and thanks,
Helena & Chad NeCaise
ISAAC MORRO
He is home and doing much better. It was a bit of a scare seeing him so limp and unresponsive but he seems to be recovering really well. Thanks for your thoughts and prayers! <>< Doni Morro
4/30/2008
Please keep little Isaac Morro is your prayers! Isaac is a toddler. Last night at church, he was playing in the gymnasium and was knocked down and he hit his head on the floor. When his parents tried to put him in the car seat, he kept falling asleep and then starting vomiting. They called 911 and rushed him to the hospital by ambulance. I am waiting on an update on him this morning and will continue to share updates here as I receive them. Please lift Isaac, Ben and Makeisha in prayer today. I pray that it is only a mild concussion and that there won't be any long-term effects from the fall. <>< Helena NeCaise
GAIGE ETHAN BOLSER
You can still get updates on Gaige at http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/gaigebolser. He lives in Stanfield, NC and is 7 yrs old! Gaige has been doing great. He is finally getting back to a normal routine. He is now riding the school bus and going back to the YMCA after school. Gaiges next clinic appointment is scheduled for next Thursday afternoon. He will have blood work done at that time.
12/17/2007
Just passing along a LOCAL prayer request. This was sent to me. Please keep this family in your prayers! This little boy is in the Charlotte area. http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/gaigebolser Hey everyone – I have some friends by the name of Jeff and Sherry Bolser that have a son who is only 7 years old that has been diagnosed with Burkitt Lymphoma (the cancer is in his larynx and lymph nodes in his neck). This little guy has to go through chemotherapy and is in and out of the hospital. I talked to Sherry and Gaige last night and the little guy had just got home from being in the hospital again. Gaige will be back at the Levine Center @ CMC on Monday for another round of chemo and each time he has chemo, he is in the hospital for a minimum of seven days. So, with that said everyone is hoping that Gaige will be coming home on Christmas Eve. When I talked to Gaige last night on the phone, he was happy to be home but he said that he wants to be home for Christmas and his birthday (he will turn 8 on his birthday which is Christmas Day). There is a web site set up for Gaige that has pictures of him, a journal of what is going on with him and also a guestbook where you can send him and the family messages. I was on this web site for over an hour last night and let me just go ahead and tell you that if you visit this web site, it is very touching and I think I cried from the time I read it until I went to bed last night (I am trying to fight back the tears as I am typing this email). With this said, I am asking each and everyone is possible, to please log on to http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/gaigebolser.com to sign his guestbook and send him a message. I will also be visiting him at the Levine Center @ CMC next Thursday, so if you would like to send him a card for his birthday, Christmas, or to just let know you are thinking of him, please let me know and I will pick them up from you before next Thursday. Please keep Gaige, Jeff, Sherry, and Andie (his parents and his little sister) in your thoughts and prayers. This family needs all the thoughts, prayers, love and support they can get during this time. Thank you, Jennifer Nance
ALEX HOPKINS
Alex's body is getting very weak. The Dr.'s have told us that there is little hope for Alex to continue his life on Earth. Of course they can not predict a time, but the Dr.'s think that he may have a few weeks to a few months. We are not giving up on him. Please continue to help us pray for a miracle! Alex began receiving Radiation and Chemo today. The treatments will hopefully reduce the size of some of his tumors to help provide comfort. Alex is in a great deal of pain. He will have a procedure tomorrow morning at 11:30 AM to remove the NG tube from his nose and replace it with one coming out of his side called a PEG. The PEG will drain the stomach and also act as a feeding tube. Alex can't wait to get the tube out of is nose. He knows that this will be one step closer to him being able to come home. He should also be able to drink and eat soon after the surgery. He will be put to sleep for this procedure. Please pray for a successful surgery and strength for Alex and our entire family. Please keep the faith and pray that God will grant us the miracle of Alex's life! CHECK OUT MORE ON ALEX HOPKINS AT http://www.caringbridge.org/visit/alexhopkins

COURTNEY
Please pray for Courtney. She's singing in the Praise Group "Wings". She has a lovely voice and all she wants to do is sing for GOD. Check out their website and hear some of their songs. They tour around the world. www.wingsgo.org Courtney has to raise $700 a month and it's tough for her to raise that much every month. She's a wonderful girl. I've know her since she was 5. Please keep her in your prayers. Also, her mom Harriet, the middle daughter will be 18 this July and has turned against them and GOD. Harriet is out her end. <>< Thanks - God Bless Linda Williams
BOBBY EDWARDS
I’m sending this to those people that I am sure know the power of prayer. Mark and I attend Gospel Baptist Church in Archdale. For a while now, our Pastor Bobby has not felt well and they could not pinpoint the problem. Sunday he felt terrible and went to a prearranged doctor’s appointment Monday morning. He went sent directly to the hospital for a blood transfusion because his platelet count was 4,000 (normal is 100,000). He had a bad night Monday night. They ran more blood tests yesterday. We just found out that the blood tests came back and he has been diagnosed with acute leukemia. Very…very serious. He is being transported immediately to Baptist Hospital for 4 to 6 weeks of intensive chemotherapy in hopes that it will help. Bobby Edwards is one of the most Godly men I have ever met. He is married and has 3 beautiful children. If you would, please lift him up in your prayers and add him to your prayer lists at church so everyone can pray for him. With God’s help he can beat this no matter how bad it seems now. Thanks so much!! <>< Ann L. Walker
MELISSA
Would you please put my oldest daughter on your prayer chain (list)? We just admitted her to the hospital this morning for a asthma attack (or so we thought) and it turns out she has phenomena and 2 blood clots in her lungs along with a enlarged heart and fluid on the heart. She's only 34 and it's Melissa. She's going to need all the prayers she can get right now. Thanks, Gladys
ANDREA
Andrea's grandmother is a friend of mine and she just called to say Andrea tried to commit suicide by shooting herself in the head. Her husband found her this AM when he came in from work. They're not sure why she did it. She just had a baby a few months ago. Please pray she'll come through this with no brain damage. Pray for her family to give them the strength to handle this. God Bless - Thanks, Linda Williams
ARTHUR
I would like for you to put Arthur on your prayer list. He has something wrong with his bones. He went for an MRI last Thursday and today we got the result. Tomorrow they are doing a full body bone scan. Today they did a chest x-ray and drew lots of blood to have checked. After the data is received we have an appointment on the 11th to get the results. Just pray with me that it will not be cancer of the bones. They are saying that it might be. Needless to say Arthur is very concerned as well as I am equally. I know how valuable prayer is and I do know that God is still on the throne. I pray that this report is all wrong and nothing will show up. If the full body bone scan does not show anything they will do a PET scan and after that they will go in and do a biopsy of the area of concern in his spine. He has been limping for some time and thought he had hip problems. He was reluctant to say anything about it but I told him that I needed the prayers of others at this particular time. Thanks a lot... Norine
(SAM) CODY TURNER
Can you add Cody Turner (goes by Sam) to your prayer list. He's a student at SRHS and my step daughters brother. He was in an accident Sunday before Christmas. He was headed home lost control of the vehicle and crashed into a tree. He is at RMH in ICU with serious brain trauma and injury. He is in a coma and now has bacterial pnemonia and a staph infection. Pray for strength for his family as they are struggling now. Also , I know his insurance ran out on the 1st pray that everything goes well for the re instatement. His mom has been spending all her time at the hospital so working has not been on the agenda. She is a single Mom so pray for financial issues that may arise as well. Thanks Loama
SHANNON, JAMI AND CORA
We would appreciate your continued prayers for our family, and especially Shannon. He has some legal issues facing him that he was hoping he wouldnt have to do...but he has no choice. Pray for wisdom and direction for him as he deals with the issues he is facing. Pray also for Jami, and her relationship with the Lord, and the same for her family. They are an ungodly, mixed up family...they need the Lord! Pray also for Cora and her safety and protection. We still have not seen her. We love her and miss her so much...she is such a precious baby girl! Its in times like these that its sometimes difficult to trust the Lord...because we just can't see how things that are happening are for our good, and especially for Cora's good and well being. But we know that God is still in control, even when we can't trace hand in the situation. We can trust His heart...and know that His love is far beyond what we can ever imagine. Thanks again for your concern, prayers and all of the support. Shannon has a host of Godly people that he can draw strength from, and get advise from. I appreciate those of you who talk to him so much....thats what keeps him going...Continue to pray for him....We love you all! In Christ......Joy
Philippians 4:6-7
Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. 7-And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.
ROBERT BROOKS
I would like for you to have everyone pray for me and my family. I got a report from my urologist after a routine test that they found abnormal/atypical cells in my urinary tract and I'll be going this Monday, January 6 to Baptist Hospital for a cystoscope. They are looking for and hopefully going to rule out signs of bladder cancer. This is a very unnerving time for us and I'll admit it has us shaken, but it has not shaken our faith. Pray with us that they will not find anything abnormal. But no matter what is discovered, pray that our faith will be strengthened as we allow God to move in our lives and in the lives of others through us. Blessings, Pastor Robert

CARISSA, DAVID & BABY EMMA
I just wanted to let you know that my daughter Carissa had her baby. The baby’s name is Emma Grace. She weighed 7.3 and was 20.5 inches long. She was born by Caesarean on 11-19-07 at 12:53PM. Emma’s middle name was given to her because Carissa says it was by the Grace of God that they have her. God is good. Emma has been 16 years waited for. I am so happy my feet have not touched the floor yet. Thanks so much for all the prayers lifted up for Carissa and David Kiser. Please remember Emma too. Your friend in Christ - Sheila Reid
NEW UPDATE 7/26/07
I wanted to give an update for my daughter Carissa and her husband David and baby. She went back to the risk doctor on July 13th, and he told her that everything was fine with the baby and her. She does not have to go back to the risk doctor. God is good.
UPDATE 6/17/07
She still has another test on the 13th of July. Each test that she has gone thru has been more encouraging. They tell us it is a girl. Keep praying for all of them. I need help. Powerful help. My daughter came in and as you know she has found out that she is pregnant. With everything she has gone thru; the Lord has seen fit to bless her with a child. She has gone thru 3 rounds of IVF before all of this happened. The Dr office just called and told her that the blood test she took on Friday has come back positive for possibly something wrong with the baby. The Dr said it could be a false positive but they want her to do more testing. Linda, ask all of your prayer warriors to pray for her. I feel within my spirit that the Lord is going to take care of this. HE IS ON THE THRONE. The human side gets us upset but I cannot explain it but I feel calm inside. I know you are going thru a tough time waiting for your dadʼs test but trusting God to see you thru. My daughter is Carissa and her husband, David. I want to thank you so much for sending these prayer requests out. I especially want to say thank you for including my daughter Carissa. It means the world to me to have such powerful prayer partners to pray with you. God bless you! Sheila Reid
THE DAVIS FAMILY
My mom talked to my Great-Aunt Gracie today from Ohio. Gracie spent a few days in the hospital last week, but is back at home now. She has some heart problems and her heart began beating too fast last week. Uncle Bud is taking care of her and cooking almost all of the meals.
THEY HAVE ALSO ASKED FOR PRAYER FOR JANET, PAUL AND VAN. Janet's husband, Paul, has been diagnosed with cancer. Their son in law, Van, was called back to active duty in Iraq for another deployment, but is having Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder from the last time. <>< Helena NeCaise
MARQUISE GREEN
Please be in prayer for the family of Marquise Green, who passed away last evening. I do not have any details related to the cause of his death. He was a student at Northwest Middle School in Concord, NC. I believe he was about 13-14 years old. His mother is a school bus driver at Concord Middle School. Please keep this family lifted close in prayer as the loss of a child is always heartbreaking. <>< Thank you, Sharon Cook
DEVOTION TO REMEMBER

"They braced and caught my fall when as a toddler I crashed upon the floor. They put food in my mouth and clothes on my back. As a child my mother taught me to fold them in prayer. They tied my shoes and pulled on my boots. They held my husband and wiped my tears when he went off to war. They have been dirty, scraped and raw, swollen and bent. They were uneasy and clumsy when I tried to hold my newborn son. Decorated with my wedding band they showed the world that I was married and loved someone special. They wrote my letters to him and trembled and shook when I buried my parents and spouse. "They have held my children and grandchildren, consoled neighbors, and shook in fists of anger when I didn't understand. "They have covered my face, combed my hair, and washed and cleansed the rest of my body. They have been sticky and wet, bent and broken, dried and raw. And to this day when not much of anything else of me works real well these hands hold me up, lay me down, and again continue to fold in prayer. "These hands are the mark of where I've been and the ruggedness of life. But more importantly it will be these hands that God will reach out and take when he leads me home. And with my hands He will lift me to His side and there I will use these hands to touch the face of Christ." I will never look at my hands the same again. But I remember God reached out and took my grandma's hands and led her home.
When my hands are hurt or sore or when I stroke the face of my children and husband I think of grandma. I know she has been stroked and caressed and held by the hands of God. I, too, want to touch the face of God and feel His hands upon my face. When you receive this, say a prayer for the person who sent it to you and watch God's answer to prayer work in your life. Let's continue praying for one another.
MATT AND JOSEPH
I hate to share bad news! Matt did pass away early last Monday morning. Joseph is doing fine, but will probably be charged with misdemeanor death by vehicle.
11/28/2007
My nephew (Rick's youngest brother, Terry's son) was in an accident last Wednesday night. He got his license on 11/15 and the accident was 11/21. My nephew, Joseph, is ok. He broke his foot in 3 places and got a cut in his head that required 2 staples. He may have to have surgery on his foot, but has to wait until later this week to find that out once he goes to the orthopedic doctor. The other vehicle's driver, Matt, isn't doing so good. He is in a drug induced coma, he may be paralyzed from the waist down - IF he survives! Still unsure exactly what happened, but apparently Matt swerved to miss a deer, and had a blow out and the same time that Joseph was coming the opposite direction. Joseph swerved to miss the deer and Matt's truck, but lost control and hit Matt's truck, it flipped and then Joseph flipped 3 or 4 times. Just keep all parties involved in your prayers please. Thanks! Also, Mom had the upper light ran this morning, they said that she had evidence of a prior ulcer and some reflux, but they don't seem to think it is anything to be concerned about. Love ya! Have a blessed day! Dana Campbell
SARAH GOHL
Praise the Lord! Thank you for your prayers. My Mom was released from the rehab center today and is at my oldest sister’s until Friday. At that time, they plan to take her back to her apartment. She is doing really well and will continue to do her exercises to regain the strength she lost with the stroke. Please continue to pray for her and my siblings as we struggle to know what her future living arrangements will need to be... <>< Thanks much -- Carol James
11/6/2007
Please add my mother Sarah Gohl to our prayer list. She had a mini stroke this morning.
HOWARD "SLICK" POSTON
They found two tumors on Slick's brain, one is operable and the other is not, according to the recent biospy. Slick remains in the hospital... and doctors are trying to determine treatment options, but chemo is favorable.
11/21/2007
Slick Poston has been diagnosed with a very aggresive cancer on his brain. He is currently in the hospital (surrounded by family and friends) and undergoing additional tests. Please be in constant prayer for him.
IVORY WATTS
Hey everyone! Just wanted to pass some information to you about this little girl. Her name is Ivory Watts. She actually lives in SC. I called Grace Baptist in Albemarle, NC to see about getting an address for cards. The secretary there said she isn't affliated with them, but because she had been so bombarded with calls, the pastor there decided to check into it. They found out that a friend of the family goes to Grace Baptist in Knoxville, TN. I told the lady in Albemarle that it really didn't matter where she was from, because the Good Lord knows who we are praying for, even if we don't have the facts exactly right! Anyway, I did find out that she is currently in Medical University of SC, but will soon be transferred to Altanta, GA for additional treatment. She is quaduparpeligic. She actually lives in South Carolina and cards can be mailed to Ivory Watts, 2912 Hwy 9 Business West, Loril, SC 29569. I also found this blog about her http://www.reachouttrust.org/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=58806 based on that, it looks like this accident may have happened a few weeks ago. Just wanted to pass this along to you! Have a blessed day! Dana

The little girl in the left in this picture is

This little girl is only 7 years old and has her whole life to live. I ask you to lift her up to God in prayer. And if you wouldn't mind adding her to your Church prayer chain. We all know what God can do when we only have faith and come together in unity. I have added an attachment of Ivory. She is the little girl on the left in the first photo and the second one is of her in the hospital. She is such a pretty little girl. This accident just breaks my heart. Thank you so much for your time and most importantly...your prayers.
SCOTTIE AND TERRY (CANCER)
Hey guys! I'm emailing to beg a favor from everyone. Within the last couple of weeks we have had 2 family friends diagnosed with cancer and I'm asking for everyone to please pray for them and their families. The first is Scottie. He is in his mid- 30's and has been diagnosed with Hodgkin's Lymphoma. He is waiting now for the doctors to decide what options he has. The next one is Terry. He is around 50 and married with 2 kids, one around middle school age and the other a senior in high school. He was just diagnosed with colon cancer. I don't have any details yet other than that. <>< Please keep both families in your prayers. Thank you! I hope all of your families have a very Happy Thanksgiving! Love, Aly Almond
CROSSBRIDGE FELLOWSHIP
Please pray for my family and for Crossbridge Fellowship. We are in a really bad spot financially right now. The church has got to find some really serious support in a very short time or else we'll have to move the 25 to 30 we have coming for services into our living room, and then, there will be no room for growth... actually, there will be no room to breathe! <>< I know God has great plans for Crossbridge and He will provide a way. Thank you for praying! Robert
DAVIS SONS
A PRAISE TO GOD:
But still keep those prayers coming!!!
BRAD MY OLDEST SON, 27 YRS OLD ON NOVENBER 16, CALLED ME A FEW WEEKS AGO AND SAID :MOM i HAVEN'T HAD A DRINK IN OVER TWO WEEKS OR HAVE I CURSED. He was so pleased with himself. tHE next day he Called and said (as enthusicatic as could be), he killed 4 point buck and he thinks he has a buyer for his house, he said God works in small ways also. To me that said alot, because most people are lookimg for the BIG things in life from God. Brad is going to church every Sunday morning, sunday night and wednesdat night. He is even taking children on a mission tour to Tenn. I am so proud of him for letting God back into his life.
Now my other child, Chad will be 26 years old in December and his wife will be 29. They have given me two very precious grandchildren. Chad and Liz need our prayers. They both are in the Navy. They are being transferred to Norfolk (HOORAY, for me) the first of January. Chad has to go out for deployment on February 8, 08 for at LEAST six months. That is going to be so hard on them, Chad is such a family man. They boyh talk like sailors, which drives me crazy and both drink too much. I pray they will stop the drinking and cuzzing for the childrens sake, not to mention theirs also. I could go on and on about this family, but i'll leave it all to God!!
Thank you in advance for yout prayers,
Have a blessed day,
Pam Davis
TRACY & LOGAN
PRAISE THE LORD!!!
Logan is here. Tracy delivered a healthy 5lb baby boy last night. He is truly a miracle as there was a knot in the cord. He was expected to only weigh around 3lbs and have problems. These are the things that remind us that GOD is in control and when we pray for His Will to be done, we can expect the very best. What a tremendous blessing! Truly amazing! . Thank you for all your prayers. Please continue to lift them up. <>< In Jesus love, Carol
10/6/2007 <>< UPDATE
Tracy came home today. The doctors told her that she was not at any greater risk at home than she was at the hospital. They still want her on bed rest. She's so glad to be home. She has two appointments a week from now until she delivers. They said for her to be prepared to be readmitted at any time. Hopefully that won't happen. She will continue to have the ultrasounds, but the doctors can't tell how Logan will be until he is born. If his is born and appears to be completely healthy, he will still go to the NICU for at least one week. I just hope that Tracy will rest better at home and be more relaxed. I can't imagine how much stress she was under being away from Kayla and Landon. <>< Everyone has been so great supporting Tracy . Please continue to pray for her and the whole family. Love ya, Ang...
10/4/2007 <><
Be in prayer for Tracy, and her unborn son, Logan. Her sonogram did not go as well as was hoped. Logan is measuring 2 lbs 10. This still puts him in the smallest 10%. The ecogenic bowel has returned and there is an enlarged ventricle in his brain. Statistic show that 30% of babies in the situation don't survive. There is an 80% chance of mental retardation. Tracy 's upset, and said she needed a little time alone. <>< God does things doctors can't. Love, Angela Howell
THE DAVIS FAMILY (BILL, PAM, BRAD)
I just want to thank each of you for praying for my son Brad and my husband Bill. Brad and his wife are now divorced, he is doing much better. It was hard on him seeing pictures of his wife with another man and this has been going on for some time. He would be doing really good if his house in Johnesborough, TN would sell. He has that huge mortgage to pay, she is not paying any on it. I really don't know how he makes ends meet. Now for my husband Bill, he is now working for Valley Metro driving a city bus. This is actually right up his alley, he loves driving and has a wonderful memory..It is by no means an easy job like I thought it would be, but they have SOOOO many responsibilities. The only down fall to the job is the insurance doesn't start until December 1, 07 and our cobra insurance runs out October 31, 07. We will be without insurance for a month, please pray that nothing happens to us during that month. We checked into getting an individual policy and it would cost us over 2200.00 a month. Lord knows we can't afford that. So we are going to take our chances. However I am thankful that we will have insurance in December and it should be pretty good coverage and a lot less than we are paying now.So, The Lord is Good, we just have to be patient. He does things in his time frame not ours. God Bless each of you and please keep praying. <>< Pam Davis
6/8/07 <><
First for the praise - I want to thank each of you for praying for my husband (Bill), he was so close to death, but the Lord isn't ready for him yet. God still has something in store for him and pray we will find out just what that is.Now that he is out of the hospital, he needs a job with health insurance. Bless his heart he is not computer smart at all and being 56 years old it is hard to find a job that pays anything. He had heart surgery 3 years ago, so with his ongoing restrictions from that it is so hard to find a job. So please pray that the the Lord will show him what direction to go now. <>< THANKS SO MUCH -- Pam Davis
LORA BROOKS
I just got the updates back... both Lora and her father, Robert, had moles removed near the same time last month, and both got Good News back that the moles were BENIGN. Praise the Lord!
10/23/2007
Lora had a mole removed from the bottom of her foot (a painful place to have cut on - it's only two stitches though, luckily). We noticed it for the first time about 1 1/2 years ago and have kept an eye on it, however in the last few months, it had grown and was changing color. The doctor said he hopes, of course, for it to be completely on the benign side, but he doesn't think it will be. He said he suspects it will be mildly "atypica" which is not even pre-cancerous. He said we were wise in coming in now. Please pray that it is nothing to worry about and also that she heals up quickly...walking is a little painful for her right now. <>< Robert Brooks
MANDY
I received the email below from Mandy's sister Kerry on October 26th. Since then Mandy has gone to see a doctor at Duke (he is the best around from what I heard). Mandy had her surgery Tuesday November 6th at Duke to have the other lymph nodes removed. Kerry just called to say that they tested some 23-26 lymph nodes and all came back negative. The doctor told Mandy at this point it was up to her if she wanted to start any treatments as a preventative. And Mandy told the doctor that she did want to try it. So that is the next step for Mandy. She is cancer free and so very thankful to God and to each of you for your many prayers. She knows what a blessing this is and she will forever be grateful.
I so much want to thank you all for the many prayers. I feel that the prayers that each of you sent her way are what have made all the difference in her. Mandy and Kerry and I truly believe that all the positive reports back from the doctor were only due to the power of prayer. Mandy has been so overwhelmed by all the prayers and emails she has received. She is so thankful to each and everyone of you. <><>< Lisa =====================
Hi everyone. I wanted to thank you all for praying for my sister the past few weeks. I really believe our prayers have been answered. Of course keep praying always! As most of you know Mandy had some melanoma that had spread into her sentinal node under her arm and had to have a full body scan to see if it had spread anywhere else and it all came back negative!!!!! Thank God! She will still have her other lymph nodes removed for precaution but she is going to be fine and I'm thankful! Please spread the good news because I know there are so many people out there that know about this and have been praying but might not have heard the good news! Thank you all and I love you! Kerry

Kerry just called and Mandy is already out of surgery. The doctor said she was so thin that it didn't take that long to get in there and get out what needed to come out. The doctor also said that everything looked good and that there was only about a 5% chance the resolves would come back bad. Robert will be able to go back there and be with Mandy in about an hr and then Mandy can decide if she wants to come home or stay the night. I know Mandy...... she will be at home in her bed with her little boys tonight! Thanks for all of your prayers and keep them coming. She still has treatments to go through.

I received this update from Mandy's sister Kerry on Friday. Since then Mandy has gone to see a doctor at Duke he is the best around from what I heard. Mandy will have her surgery Tuesday November 6th at Duke to have the other lymph nodes removed. She will have a lot of treatment ahead of her the next year or so and the doctor say they will become real buddies over the next several months. She does have a 30 to 40% chance this will come back so we do need to continue to pray it away from her. I so much want to thank you all for the many prayers. I feel that the prayers that each of you sent her way are what have made all the difference in her. Mandy is out of the bed and living. She is strong and ready to fight this, and the reports back from the doctor were only due to the power of prayer and I know that and so does Mandy. She is overwhelmed by all the prayers and emails she has received. She is so thankful to each and everyone of you. She knows that with God's help she will get through this. We just can't believe that what was there in her lymph nodes are now gone. Praise God!!!!! – Lisa Medlin

I am asking for each and everyone of you to please pray for my cousin Mandy. Mandy is 33 and has a 2 year and a 4 year little boy. Six years ago she had a mole removed from her arm and everything was good. Well this summer she has been concerned about the place were the mole was removed. It looked funny to her and she asked her doctor about it and the doctor told her is was fine. Well, as it happens so many time it was not fine. She went to another doctor because Mandy was just not sure it was "fine". This doctor didn't like to way it looked and set up surgery for Mandy to have more removed. They injected her with a dye that lead to the lymph nodes and also removed the lymph node that it was leading to. They told her it was melanoma cancer, but they hoped they got it all. This past Friday Mandy had to go back to get the results and they were not good. The cancer has spread to her other lymph nodes. This Wednesday 10-24-07 she will be going in to have a PET scan. This is a full body scan so they can see if it has spread to any other parts of her body. Next Monday 10-29-07 she will be going back in for more surgery so they can remove the other lymph nodes. Mandy is not handling this very well at all. All she wants to do is lay in the bed and cry. We need to pray her out of that bed and up and on her feet, ready to fight this thing with everything she has. We need to pray on Wednesday that there will be no other cancer anywhere in her body. And we need to pray that on Monday to doctor will be able to remove all the cancer when they remove her other lymph nodes, and she will recover from this as strong as she was before. <>< PLEASE PRAY AS HARD AS YOU CAN. MANDY IS SO SPECIAL TO ME. SHE IS SO MUCH MORE THAN JUST A COUSIN TO ME, SHE IS LIKE MY SISTER, MY FRIEND, MY CHILD ALL ROLLED INTO ONE. PLEASE PRAY FOR HER. Thanks so much! Love you all! Lisa
JUDY WACASTER
I just wanted to request prayer for my sister Judy Wacaster. She was diagnosed with terminal cancer. I think it has been about 9 months now and she is so weak. Please pray that she will not be in pain, not be scared and have a sense of peace. Please pray that she has accepted God into her heart so, that she can have eternal life with our great Savior. Thank you and may God Bless!!! <>< Cindy Riley
AMY BENTON
Amy has started her chemo treatments and will have her 2nd treatment on Friday 11/23/07. She will go for a total of 6 rounds over an 18 week period. After her first treatment, she was very tired/exhausted and not feeling well for about 9 days. Please pray that she will be responsive to these treatments and that she will feel well in the days ahead. <>< Thanks, Helena NeCaise
10/18/2007 <><
We rec’d good news yesterday. Amy went back to the surgeon and there is no cancer in the 9 lymph nodes that they removed! She will have chemo first (we were hoping the radiation would come first so that she would not be sick over the holidays) but they are going to do the chemo and follow up with radiation, as I understand it. And who knows, the chemo may not make her sick. <>< Please keep our family in your prayers, because God in answering them.... Brenda
10/8/2007 <><
Amy will have her surgery on Tuesday 10/9. Please be in prayer that she made the right decision for the surgery and treatment and that she will have peace about it. Pray for the doctors and everyone that will be assisting with the surgery as well. I am planning to go to the hospital to sit with Michael and the family during the surgery to show support. I know that she is in God's hands and that she will be okay.
9/21/2007 <><
I talked to Amy this morning. She has met with the plastic surgeon and is weighing out her options with the surgery and everything. She thinks she may have decided which route to take for surgery and treatment, so please pray that the Lord will guide her decisions and give her peace about it. She will return to the surgeon on Thursday 9/27/07 and hopes to schedule the surgery at that appointment. Please continue to pray for her husband, Michael, as well.
9/14/2007 <><
Amy will have several appointments with specialists over the next 2 weeks and return to the surgeon on 9/26 or 9/27. The surgery will be immediately scheduled within one week from that appointment. Amy has some options to choose from regarding the surgery and treatments. Please continue to pray for her and her family as they begin to travel this journey and put all of their hope in our Almighty Lord, and that this will draw them into a deeper relationship with the Lord. This is all in HIS plan and we just need to remember that he can work miracles through this cancer.
9/11/2007 <><
Please be in prayer for one of my close friends, Amy Benton. She just found out last week that she has Breast Cancer. She met with more doctors on Monday to determine what additional tests are needed to see if the cancer has spread anywhere else. She will meet with the surgeon on Wednesday. Amy is 30 years old and happily married to Mike Benton. They have 2 young children, Alex (5) and Olivia (2).
TONYA BAIRD & GIRLS
Please be in prayer for Tonya and her three girls. She is in the midst of a custody battle with her ex-husband and will be in court on Tuesday 10/9/07 to determine custody.
HELENA NECAISE
I am coming to everyone asking prayer for myself. I have an appointment with a new Neurologist on Thursday morning for my migraine headaches. I have dealt with them for years and no medicine has worked very well. They continue to get worse with each migraine. Prior to the last several months, I may feel nausea 1-2 times a YEAR and recently I feel that way with EVERY migraine... often actually getting sick. My "relief" medicine no longer works as well and several "preventive" medicines have also failed. I will be going in open minded to see what they say/offer as this will be the 3rd Specialist I've been referred to. Pray that the Lord will ease these headaches and that I can get by with NO medicine at all since we are also TTC. I'm scared to take anything at all, but feel I have to just to find relief and be able to resume regular activities at home or work. <>< Thank you for your love and prayers! Helena <><
SCOTT JAMES

11/28/2007
Scott went for a 2nd opinion and was given GOOD NEWS that he has healed and is able to return to work.
10/4/2007
Chad and I went to see Scott tonight at the hospital as doctors decided to keep him another night for observation. He will have to wear a neck brace for 6-8 weeks. It appears that the 2 vertebrae are actually fractured on the "wing" of the vertebrae in the neck. Doctors do not think surgery will be needed at this time. He is also very cut up and bruised everywhere from his head to his feet. Kayla is at home resting and is also very sore.
10/3/2007
As some of you may recall, Chad's cousin, Scott James, and his wife, Crystal, recently celebrated the birth of their first son on 9/13/07. This morning, Scott and his step-daughter, Kayla, were involved in a serious car accident. Kayla was driving and from what I understand she ran off the road, overcorrected too far and the car turned sideways in the middle of Mt. Pleasant Road. An oncoming car hit them in the passenger's side where Scott was riding. Kayla was able to get out, called her mom and paramedics. Crystal loaded up the baby in Scott's work van and immediately went to the accident. When paramedics arrived, they had to cut Scott out of the car and rushed him to the hospital. His mother, Betty, was already there waiting. Tests show that Scott has broken 2 vertebrea in his neck. Doctors said he is lucky to be alive! At this point, he is expected to be released from the hospital after just an overnight stay. Kayla was released this morning. Please keep this family in your prayers for Scott's full recovery and for their financial well being also. They depend on Scott's income which will now be lost during his recovery and it was the family car that was totaled in the accident. The only other vehicle they have is a work van with 2 front seats. It is Scott, Crystal, Kayla, and baby Cooper living at the home. Another step-daughter, Stephanie, lives with her grandmother. Please pray that the Lord will work in their lives to draw them closer to Him. Some may also recall that this has been a difficult past 2 years for the James family... Scott's brother Mark passed away on 11/28/05 from a heart attack, then in May 2006, Scott's brother Chris was severly injured in a race car warm-up accident and lost both of his legs from the knee down. Chris has made a full recovery with the help of prostetic legs and has went back to racing again! YES - RACING! There is another brother in the family, Jimmy, that will soon welcome a grandchild of his own in early December. Jimmy's step-daughter Joanna is expecting. So please also continue to carry the entire James family in daily prayer. <>< Thank you for joining our family in prayer each time we come to you. You guys are awesome in lifting these things unto the Lord, our Savior! Love always, Helena <><
LEWIS HOLTON
Lewis went to the oncologist Friday. He is scheduled to have his port done on 10/4 and will begin chemo 10/8. Please be in prayer for him as he goes through this process. Thank you for your prayers... Cayce Burwell
Please take a minute to lift up the following in prayer... My uncle, Lewis Holton, will be undergoing surgery this afternoon to remove a malignant tumor in his colon and biopsy additional questionable places on his liver and a lymph node. There's also a spot under his toungue, which the doctor has said is also malignant, but this doctor isn't going to do anything with it. (I'm unclear whether he has to see another doctor on that one or what.) He started passing blood and having pain, but being a "macho man", apparently didn't seek medical attention for a while. Once he did (about 3 weeks ago), they started testing. Originally, they were going to just remove the tumor by laproscopic surgery, but after finding the other questionable places, decided to "open him up" to look around and biopsy those (and anything else that may be suspect). My grandmother has been there with him (he's single and lives in Murrells Inlet) and is not happy with the doctor's office nor hospital. They seem to keep losing his records, duplicating meds, asking, "Have you been to this office before?", etc. Needless to say, that doesn't give us a warm-fuzzy feeling -- but we know that Christ is the Great Physician anyway, and He certainly knows Lewis and everything about him. So - we're placing our trust and faith in Him, and in Him alone. Please pray that He will direct the minds and hands of the doctors and staff. <>< Cayce Burwell
DIANE BENNETT
8/31/2007 <>< Diane has been released from her Neuro Surgeon following surgery and has started radiation treatments and will soon undergo chemo as well. Please continue to keep her and the family in your daily prayers.
8/1/2007 <>< Diane was able to come HOME on Sunday... just 2 days after surgery. She is doing well -- already cooking meals -- although she is supposed to be on bed rest for 2 weeks. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. She returns to the doctor on Friday for her follow-up.
7/27/2007 10:32AM <>< Praise the Lord -- Anita just called and Diane is out of surgery and in recovery. She is awake and very drowsy but is able to move around in the bed. They will move her back into ICU for the next day or so and continue to monitor her progress. The doctors were able to remove all of the tumor that they could see!! So please continue to lift Diane in constant prayer and that it be the Lord's Will that she has a complete recovery! The PetScan on Thursday only showed the cancer in the brain and lungs, so the next step as she recovers is to treat her with a new advanced radiation to shrink the tumor on the lungs.
7/26/2007 10:15AM <>< Diane is scheduled to have brain surgery on Friday 7/27 at 7:30AM. Throughout today, she will undergo several tests (PetScan, MRI) to prepare for tomorrow's surgery. All of her family will be in town for the surgery, as Diane's sister is flying in tonight. Please be in prayer for her travels, for Diane and the surgeon's, and for Diane's family. <>< Cancer has been all too familiar to this family. Please be in prayer for these family members as they try to cope and deal with going through this all over again. Ask for God to show them His Will during this time and to draw them near to Him. There is some anger and uncertainty being faced and I just pray for every one in this family.
7/25/2007 4:41PM <>< Please lift up Diane Bennett in constant prayer! She found out on Sunday that she has cancer in her lungs and it has spread to her brain. The family will appreciate the prayers being lifted up for her right now. Diane is in a regular room now on the oncology floor. They have told the family they think brain surgery is the best option for her at this point, but we are waiting to find out when they would do it. I will keep everyone posted daily on her status. Please check back here throughout the day. <><
JANA'S FAMILY
Cayce sent me an email saying that she got an email from one of her very good friends a few minutes ago requesting prayer. She’s just learned that her dad has taken his own life. Jana and her husband are en route from Texas to North Carolina. Please pray that God would keep His hand around them during their travels and around the entire family during this tragic time. <><
MEGAN SHELTON BROOKS
Megan delivered her 2nd child via c-section last Monday 9/10/07, but developed an infection at the site of her incision. Doctors reopened the incision over the weekend and are trying to drain the infection. She remains in the hospital and will likely be there throughout this week. Her son, Shelton, is being released from the hospital today. So please keep Megan, Marty, Shelton, and older sister Gracie in your prayers. This week will definitely be a trial for daddy as he becomes the primary caregiver for everyone else.

COURTNEY CHAPPLEAR
Did you hear Him?
DID YOU HEAR HIM?
This will give you the chills........ GOOD chills.
A young man had been to Wednesday Night Bible Study. The Pastor had shared about listening to God and obeying the Lord's voice The young man couldn't help but wonder, "Does God still speak to people?" After service, he went out with some friends for coffee and pie and they discussed the message. Several different ones talked about how God had led them in different ways. It was about ten o'clock when the young man started driving home. Sitting in his car, he just began to pray, "God...If you still speak to people, speak to me. I will listen. I will do my best to obey." As he drove down the main street of his town, he had the strangest thought to stop and buy a gallon of milk. He shook his head and said out loud, "God is that you?" He didn't get a reply and started on toward home. But again, the thought, buy a gallon of milk. The young man thought about Samuel and how he didn't recognize the voice of God, and how little Samuel ran to Eli. "Okay, God, in case that is you, I will buy the milk." It didn't seem like too hard a test of obedience. He could always use the milk. He stopped and purchased the gallon of milk and started off toward home. As he passed Seventh Street, he again felt the urge, "Turn Down that street." This is crazy he thought, and drove on past the intersection. Again, he felt that he should turn down Seventh Street. At the next intersection, he turned back and headed down Seventh. Half jokingly, he said out loud, "Okay, God, I will." He drove several blocks, when suddenly, he felt like he should stop. He pulled over to the curb and looked around. He was in a semi- commercial area of town. It wasn't the best but it wasn't the worst of neighborhoods either. The businesses were closed and most of the houses looked dark like the people were already in bed. Again, he sensed something, "Go and give the milk to the people in the house across the street." The young man looked at the house. It was dark and it looked like the people were either gone or they were already asleep. He started to open the door and then sat back in the car seat. "Lord, this is insane. Those people are asleep and if I wake them up, they are going to be mad and I will look stupid." Again, he felt like he should go and give the milk. Finally, he opened the door, "Okay God, if this is you, I will go to the door and I will give them the milk. If you want me to look like a crazy person, okay. I want to be obedient. I guess that will count for something, but if they don't answer right away, I am out of here." He walked across the street and rang the bell. He could hear some noise inside. A man's voice yelled out, "Who is it? What do you want?" Then the door opened before the young man could get away. The man was standing there in his jeans and T-shirt. He looked like he just got out of bed. He had a strange look on his face and he didn't seem too happy to have some stranger stand ing on his doorstep. "What is it?" The young man thrust out the gallon of milk, "Here, I brought this to you." The man took the milk and rushed down a hallway. Then from down the hall came a woman carrying the milk toward the kitchen. The man was following her holding a baby. The baby was crying. The man had tears streaming down his face. The man began speaking and half crying, "We were just praying. We had some big bills this month and we ran out of money. We didn't have any milk for our baby. I was just praying and asking God to show me how to get some milk." His wife in the kitchen yelled out, "I asked him to send an Angel with some. Are you an Angel?" The young man reached into his wallet and pulled out all the money he had on him and put in the man's hand. He turned and walked back toward his car and the tears were streaming down his face. He knew that God still answers prayers. <><
LESLIE NEASE

Alot of you may have heard Leslie Nease on the airwaves of New Life 91.9FM as the mid-morning radio show hostess. Leslie has been a very inspirational part of my life over the past couple years since she began with New Life 91.9FM. I have spoken with her on several occasions and keep in touch with her via email with several prayer requests (that have been shared by some of you!!)... and she is always right there beside me when I need her in prayer (and praise!). She really help me to keep my spirits high and focused on God's plan for my life when I went through a difficult time at the beginning of this year. I was later honored to meet Leslie in March 2007 when she accepted my invitation to our church to speak to our "Sisters in Christ" ministry group. I still remember her strong testimony and the lessons she shared about the burdens and joys she has experienced throughout her life and struggle with her own faith... until she finally GAVE control of her life to God!!
Well another of Leslie's dreams has come true and she will appear as a "cast-away" on the hit TV series "Survivor" this Fall (2007). Be in prayer for this new & exciting ministry that God has led her into as she shares her Faith in our sovereign Lord and has the unlimited potential to reach out to viewers across the country.

She is a pleasure to know and I can't wait for Leslie to come back home and share with us what God is doing in her life right now through this show. So please keep her lifted in prayer that she will follow His Will and lead others to Christ.
Are you heavy burdened?

YOU MAY FEEL THAT THE CROSS YOU BEAR IS TOO MUCH FOR YOU... BUT TRUST THE LORD, HE KNOWS WHAT YOU ARE GOING THROUGH AND HAS "HIS" REASONS FOR IT!!! Persevere through the hard times and they will benefit you later in life.
<>< I just had to share this with everyone. This is a constant reminder of His Love for us.
TIM SECKEL
The following is a portion of a note that we received from Bob's daughter (Robbyn) today. Her husband's name is Tim Seckel. We believe that he has been in surgery in Germany this afternoon. Please keep Tim, Robbyn, their family, and the others who were injured in your prayers. Thanks so much. Jill
I am writing to let you know that Tim has received a Purple Heart and will be coming home. He is OK. The vehicle he drives was ambushed. His LT, Lt. Edds, was killed. His SGT, Sgt. Wiley took some copper to the back and leg. Captain Seroda walked away without a scratch. Tim was not penetrated by any shrapnel or bullets. An explosive device hit his door, and the force of the blast left him with some light internal hemorrhaging and injury to the back and spine. He cannot stand up straight and he cannot feel the left side of his body. He can walk and he can move the left side of his body.
SAMMY, KATHY AND SETH
that the cancer will remain cancer free. The 2nd request is related to a job. Sammy has applied at Liberty university for a position. He has done this to help facilitate paying for college for Seth. We pray that the Lord will facilitate an interview and job since Seth is wanting to go into the ministry. He applied a couple of weeks ago and hasn't heard anything. It has on the website not to call to check on the application status. So, it is truly in the Lord's hands. Thanks so much and I also thank each of you for your continued prayers for my husband and our family. <>< Thanks in advance for your continued prayer. In Christ, Kathy <><
CHARLOTTE PEARCY
Charlotte is still having a difficult time. She has good days and bad. Says she will give her meds 2 more weeks, but will then go the doctor if she's not any better.

Let Him Shine Through You
As I faced my Maker at the last Judgment, I knelt before the Lord along
with all the other souls. Before each of us laid our lives like the squares of a quilt in many piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our quilt squares together
into a tapestry that is our life. But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the pile, I noticed how ragged and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each square was labeled with a part of my life that had been difficult, the challenges and temptations I was faced with in every day life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.
I glanced around me. Nobody else had such squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled with rich color and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own life and was disheartened. My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air. Finally the time came when each life was to be displayed, held up to the light, the scrutiny of truth. The others rose; each in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been. My angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise. My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But there had also been trials of illness, and wealth, and false accusations that took from me my world, as I knew it. I had to start over many times I often struggled with the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in prayer, asking for help and guidance in my life. I had often been held up to ridicule,
which I endured painfully, each time offering it up to the Father in hopes that I would not melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of those who unfairly judged me. And now, I had to face the truth. My life was what it was, and I had to
accept it for what it was.
I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of my life to the light. An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.
Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light flooded the many holes, creating an image, the face of Christ. Then our Lord stood before me, with warmth and love in His eyes. He said, "Every time you gave over your life to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My struggles. Each point of light in your life is when you stepped aside and let Me shine through, until there was more of Me than there was of you."
May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing Christ to shine through! Please share this with someone you love, care about or even someone who needs Jesus in their heart. They may scoff, but at least the seed has been planted, and God will do the rest. May God bless you today and Forever!

CAMERON ROWE
8/15/2007 <><
Please pray for Cameron Rowe. He was in a motocross accident and died on the track. He was revived but is paralyzed from the chest down. He is only 20 years old. Already the Lord is working miracles in his body! Please pray that he will continue to amaze the doctors and get more movement. His mother Robbie is a friend of mine and she seems to be holding up even though she and Cameron are in a hospital in Atlanta while the rest of the family is here. All are just trying to cope and get through each day. <>< Thank you for your prayers. They are very much appreciated. Vicki Love <><

They are in a hospital in Atlanta and his Mom is having to learn how to do everything for him. His Dad is back at work in Charlotte and they have a 16 yr old and an 18 yr old. On top of that her Mother is not doing well at all either. If you could keep them in your prayers. <>< Thanks, Charlotte Sailers <><

UPDATE 8/2/2007 <><
Dad went back to the Dr.(s) today. The cancer specialist said his blood count was low and if it got any lower she was going to put him in the hospital for blood transfusions. Also the medication the VA gave him for the hurting in his stomach doesn't do well with the chemo he's taking. So he can't take that. She gave him med for stomach. ( I don't like the VA one bit) She said there was some change in the sound of his lungs and not good. Gave him something to take to help him eat. He won't eat or drink anything. Then we went to the Lung Specialist because Dad said he did something to his throat when he did the scope and now he can't talk. Dr Green said his vocal chords was paralyzed. So he sent him to a Throat Specialist. Dr. Tran said the LymphNobes is pressing against his vocal chords. If it gets bigger he won't be able to talk at all. If these pills work then he will get his voice back. He's talking in a whisper now and fusses because he can't talk. He goes back to the Cancer Dr next Thurs. Will keep you posted. Keep us in prayer. We need it. <>< Love ya, Linda Williams <><
UPDATE 7/24/2007 <><
Dad is now taking Chemo-pills twice a day. This is a new drug and there are a lot of side effects like a rash on his hands and feet and blistering rashes on his body along with the regular side effects. He started the pills on July 19th. He has to go every week and have blood work done and see the cancer specialist. So far, he feels good. He sleeps a lot but I think that's the pills. This drug stops the glueclouse from going to the mass so it won't grown. He won't get better only with prayer but this will prolong him some. The mass is in the kidney and the cancer has spread to the lungs. The tests show that the cancer has not gotten to his bones or brain. Praise the Lord on that. Please keep him in prayer and that he will turn his life over to God. <><
UPDATE 6/12/2007 <><
Dad went to the cancer specialist today. His white cell count was low. The Dr. said there is evidence of a slight kidney failure. He's having a bone test done this Friday and a MRI of the brain the 22nd to see if the cancer has gotten in these areas. The Dr said we may be dealing with two difference cancers (kidney & lung) and if so and it's treatable it will have to be done with two different treatments. He has lost more weight also. The Dr will know more after these tests on treatments or not. He talks to mom real hateful and her nerves are getting bad. We asked the Dr about that and was told that was part of the territory and nothing could be done about it. Told mom to go talk to her Dr to see if he could give her something. Don't need her upset and then her heart act up. I'm trying to do what I can plus work and keep up the house, laundry, shopping and finances. Not enough time or me to go around. Please pray for all of us. <>< God Bless! Linda Williams <><
6/2/2007 <><
Dad goes for his Petscan June 9th and to the cancer specialist the 12th. We'll see then what can be done. I have a friend that works in Radiology in Abington, VA.She said a Petscan is a study done on cancer patients before treatment to determine lymph node spread disease. It will be repeated at 3 months, 6 months, etc during treatment. The patient is injected with an agent called FDG and it is absorbed by malignant cancer cells. She's sure they will do many imaging studies during the course of his treatment. Dad is really beginning too look really bad and we've notice he can't keep his balance very well. Please pray for our family. Will keep you posted. <>< Thanks for your prayers. God Bless - Love each and every one of you! ---Linda Williams <><

NORMAN Boy -- Badly Burned
Thanks for all your prayers for the Norman boy on my mail route. He is home from the hospital but I understand that his legs were burned so badly he will not be able to attempt to walk for another month yet. Please continue to pray for him and his family. His mother is such a joy to see at the mailbox. <>< Sue <><

Could you ask for prayer for a young 15 year old boy, on my mail route. he is in the burn center at Charlotte. He was trying to start a bomb fire, poured gas on the fire to get it started, and yes, same ole story..he knew better. I understand his legs are burned badly from knee down and his face is bad also. Don't know much, his last name is Norman. <><
LYNNE HUTCHINSON
Please be in prayer for Lynne Hutchinson. She is in her 30's and has young child at home. She has cancer in her mouth and head and recently underwent surgery to remove the roof of her mouth and doctors removed another muscle to rebuild her mouth. <><
DIANE BENNETT
Diane will begin her chemo treatments on Monday 9/24/07.
8/31/2007 <><
Diane has been released from her Neuro Surgeon following surgery and has started radiation treatments and will soon undergo chemo as well. Please continue to keep her and the family in your daily prayers.
8/1/2007 <><
Diane was able to come HOME on Sunday... just 2 days after surgery. She is doing well -- already cooking meals -- although she is supposed to be on bed rest for 2 weeks. Please continue to keep her in your prayers. She returns to the doctor on Friday for her follow-up.
7/27/2007 10:32AM <><
Praise the Lord -- Anita just called and Diane is out of surgery and in recovery.
7/26/2007 10:15AM <><
Diane is scheduled to have brain surgery on Friday 7/27 at 7:30AM.
7/25/2007 4:41PM <><
Please lift up Diane Bennett in constant prayer! <><
