The following is a portion of a note that we received from Bob's daughter (Robbyn) today. Her husband's name is Tim Seckel. We believe that he has been in surgery in Germany this afternoon. Please keep Tim, Robbyn, their family, and the others who were injured in your prayers. Thanks so much. Jill
I am writing to let you know that Tim has received a Purple Heart and will be coming home. He is OK. The vehicle he drives was ambushed. His LT, Lt. Edds, was killed. His SGT, Sgt. Wiley took some copper to the back and leg. Captain Seroda walked away without a scratch. Tim was not penetrated by any shrapnel or bullets. An explosive device hit his door, and the force of the blast left him with some light internal hemorrhaging and injury to the back and spine. He cannot stand up straight and he cannot feel the left side of his body. He can walk and he can move the left side of his body.
